Fanny Mendelssohn-Hensel, although not as well known as her brother Felix, was an accomplished composer in her own right. Troubadisc reexamines the output of Fanny Mendelssohn-Hensel with a series of recordings focusing on her more intimate works.

Troubadisc's release of Fanny Mendelssohn-Hensel: Piano Chamber Music presents world premiere recordings of the Capriccio in A flat major (1829) and Sonata o Fantasia in G minor for piano and violoncello. It also features an early piano quartet, as well as the Piano Trio in D minor, Op. 11, the work Fanny Mendelssohn completed shortly before her death in 1847.
